Georina Lamperd

Georgina Lamperd is a low-impact illustrator and papermaker artist, always searching for a sustainable way to create artworks.

Inspired by the natural world, her handmade ink on paper works delves into the structures found in nature. Georgina engages the viewer to slow down, be present and take their time to focus on the small details.

After graduating from RMIT with a Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) in 2016, Georgina is now practicing on the Gold Coast. She has exhibited in several group shows and solo exhibitions at Mint Art House, Gold Coast 2022, and Neon Parlour, Melbourne 2017.

Through exploring the origins of paper within her papermaking practice, Georgina is curious about the relationship between artist and mark, the medium of ink, and the connection one has with their chosen material.

Nature, pattern, form, slowness, and sustainability inspire her art practice to create a softer footprint on the environment.
