Richard Scott Solo Exhibition

  • Mint Art House 87 West Burleigh Road Burleigh Heads, QLD, 4220 Australia (map)

From Mulder and Scully to Charles Manson, Idle Hands is a collection of hand-drawn portraits from real life, old books and the internet: heroes, cult leaders, friends, and the artist’s children. With origins as rough sketchbook studies, this series of original pen and ink illustrations are brought to life with watercolour and Japanese Sumi ink on premium watercolour paper.

About Richard Scott
A resident at Mint Art House since 2021, Richard is an emerging Gold Coast based illustrator, printer, muralist and sculptor. He designed and painted the “I am High” mural at The Henchman for Street-art Festival SURFACE (Miami, 2022), and installed a giant golf ball at SWELL Sculpture Festival (Currumbin, 2022) in tribute to the Mermaid Putt-Putt. Richard has exhibited paintings in group shows at The Dust Temple (Currumbin, 2021) and Mint Art House (Burleigh, 2022), but Idle Hands (2023) will mark his debut solo show.
